My Background
Mosadi DuQuesne, BA, BASc, MEd, RD, CDE is a Registered Dietitian in private practice. Mosadi has an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and an Honors Bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition from Western University. She went on to complete a Comprehensive Graduate Dietetic Internship Program from London Health Sciences Centre in London, ON. After gaining extensive practice experience Mosadi obtained her Master of Education in Adult Education with a focus on chronic disease education and support, in the community. She holds certifications as a Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Craving ChangeTM Instructor.
How I got started
Nutrition and wellness have always been important to me. I began by pursuing studies focused on nutrition and fitness since these are areas that I am passionate about in my own life. I then pursued nutrition for health and wellness in the community as a basis for my career with the core of walking the talk which overlaps my personal and professional life. As I advanced in my career, I developed extensive practice experience as a Health Care Provider, Educator, and Facilitator in the areas of counseling, behaviour change, emotional eating, and education on a variety of food and nutrition-related topics in community health and private practice settings.
My approach
As a Registered Dietitian - Mosadi's focus is on educational and behavioural approaches to support sustainable changes for healthy eating. Mosadi specializes in nutrition care for heart disease, weight loss, weight gain, high blood pressure, dyslipidemia (cholesterol), metabolic syndrome, emotional eating, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies and intolerances, vegetarian diets, sports nutrition, nutrition for an active lifestyle, group education/workshops/and seminars, pregnancy (pre and post), management of nutrition-related health problems, diabetes/pre-diabetes/diabetes prevention, and nutrition for overall health. Many people know what eat but do not necessarily do what they know. Through Nutrition and Wellness with Mosadi consulting - dietitian services are provided addressing person and family-centred care, group education, support and wellness programs to address barriers and strategies to overcome barriers to achieve one's nutrition and wellness goals. The aim is to aid others in achieving optimal nutrition and health status as well as to prevent nutrition-related disease.
Mosadi provides services in the Greater Toronto Area, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Aurora, King City, Vaughan, York Region, Markham, Etobicoke, Woodbridge, Caledon, Orangeville, Georgetown, Oakville, and province-wide through online and telephone consulting. Client from other areas are welcome!

Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition counseling provided via video conferencing online. Mosadi is happy to meet with you for a COMPLIMENTARY 15 MINUTE APPOINTMENT to answer your questions about a Registered Dietitians scope of practice and treatment approaches. Please keep in mind this is not a health consultation. Dietitians cannot give health advice without doing a full assessment which requires 60 minutes.
Individual Initial- 60 minutes

Mosadi will do a comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle assessment that includes a review of your eating habits, health history, social history, and any other information that is relevant to your situation. Mosadi will then work with you to provide a nutrition care plan based on your needs, lifestyle habits, preferences, and goals. Supplements will also be recommended where appropriate.
Individual-Follow-Up Sessions - 30 minutes

Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes in length. Mosadi will review your eating habits and progress and make recommendations. Mosadi will make recommendations based on your individual needs such as discussing your food diary, recipes and cooking, menus, planning for meals and snacks, grocery shopping and label reading, weight management, eating out, emotional eating. Mosadi will discuss strategies to motivate you, to achieve your goals, and to help you to stay on track.
3 Month Nutrition Vitality Package - 6 sessions

This package is six sessions booked within 3 months. This package includes a nutrition and lifestyle assessment with goals and recommendations (1st session - 60 minutes), individualized meal plan (2nd session - 60 minutes), supplements where appropriate, and six - 30 minute follow up sessions.
Couples (or 2 people) Initial 90 minutes together

Healthy Gut and You - 3 Month Package

This package includes a nutrition and lifestyle assessment, goals, recommendations, 7- day individualized meal plan, dietary approaches such as FODMAP, low histamine, elimination diet, amongst others, supplement protocol, and four - 30 minute follow up sessions.
Sessions are prescheduled at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 weeks.
*Additional charges apply for relevant lab testing and supplementation.
